-tvthemeking We want this to be a fun place where all of Billy's fans can chat about Billy and get to know each other. Since this chatroom is open to all ages and is a chat for someone who is still a kid himself, there are some rules to follow when here. These rules aren't particularly strict, but they are needed to keep the chatroom clean, comfortable, fun and safe for everyone. So, that said, here they are: 1. First and foremost, this is a subject restricted area (as is the whole site). That means NO profanity (swearing), no talking about race or sexual orientation of Billy or any member or moderator, no explicit religious discussions (i.e. preaching), etc. Also, people with nicknames that violate this rule will be kicked from the chatroom, until they change their nickname, and they will be banned if they refuse to change it and attempt to rejoin anyway. 2. Absolutely no discussion of Billy's personal information! That includes his e-mail address, home address, telephone number, personal finances, etc. There will be no tolerance on this issue, if you try persisting on doing it you will be kicked from the channel by an admin. A permanent ban may be placed if you continually violate this (or any rule). 3. Do not give out or discuss personal information in the chatroom (yours or anyone elses). If you feel comfortable about it, you may give your first name only & general A/S/L (age, male or female, major closest city). If a person does not want to supply their entire ASL, DO NOT pester or you will be kicked, privacy is still protected here. Do not under any circumstances give out your last name, address, city you live in, phone number or other personal information. Doing so will result in you being kicked from the channel (this also includes Private Messages to other users), if you come back and continue to do it you will be banned. Anyone asking for someone's personal information other than A/S/L will be immediately banned. Anyone providing information for another person other than what is publicly known is forbidden as well. If anyone asks my ASL, for example, I will tell them "My name is tvthemeking, I am 33, M, Canada" If I am unable to answer someone those details are ok to be shared, I consider them public information. But other details are not. 4. No flaming or badmouthing members of this chatroom, other Billy boards, sites, channels, Billy mailing lists, etc. Try to be nice to each other, please! If you have a problem with something another member said, please bring it to the attention of one of the following people: tvthemeking, BBarnwell, Chris, Tanya, Marc, ACM, or bah. You also can email an available moderator thru admin@billygilmanfansite.com 5. The official language of this chatroom (as is the whole site) is English. If you speak in a foreign language please provide a translation for the other members. If you can't or don't want to provide a translation, please do the foreign language chatting in a private message window with that person instead of on the public area. 6. Please refrain from using excessive colors, sounds, popups, or upper case/capitalized text on the chatroom. Colours are part of the original JAVA chat peogram and cannot be disabled, but we ask you do not use them. Some chatters use a variety of background colours in their chat windows and typing in different colours can make it hard for them to read what you have said. (For instance green text trying to be read on a green background would appear "invisible" Since everyone has different settings it is impossible to pick a colour that would not affect everyone differently, so that is why we ask no colours be used) Sounds amd Capital Letters are allowed every once in a while, but doing too many of them at one time can cause users to be disconnected from the server (known as flooding). As per InteliInternet policy, flooding will get you automatically banned from the server for two weeks. It also has a tendency to slow down connections overall. 7. Absolutely NO trading of licensed software programs (known as "warez", mp3 audio files, pornographic photographs, or other inappropriate material will be allowed in the chatroom or any kind of links that are affiliated with such content questioable areas. Moderators will check links posted and action against you may be taken. This may take place during your connecyion time to the chatroom, or come into effect the next time you try and join the chatroom, you may suffer a ban extending from 5 minutes to 2 weeks depending on the serverity of the offense. 8. Trouble makers are not welcome. If you come into the chatroom and start causing trouble you WILL be banned. So what happens if you violate these rules? Well, it depends on the offense. If it's just something minor, you'll be asked to stop doing whatever it is that is violating the rules, which will be considered a warning, you may be kicked off for five minutes or up to a 2 week period, If you're warned and you still persist, you'll be kicked out of the chat, but you may rejoin later. If you rejoin the chat and continue to violate the rules, you'll be banned from the chatroom permanently. If the violation is something serious, you may be banned from the chat for the first offense, and if it is a severe offense, Intelinet may be notified. It is up to the site admins to decide what is a severe violation and what isn't, but the admins will make an unbiased decision. (In other words, you won't be kicked off the chat just because the admin doesn't like you or has a personal issue with you.)
