American Celebration at Ford's Theatre - Friday, July 20, 2001 ABC will air An American Celebration gala at Ford's Theatre on August 18, 2001. Bush Beans Auction Ends. (WOW!) - Thursday, July 5, 2001 The Bush's Baked Beans celebrity auction of to benefit the City of Hope Cancer Center, to which Billy donated a autographed pair of khaki pants, signed poster, and a CD, came to a close last night. With an incredible final bid of $3710, Billy's donation brought in the largest amount by $650. The second highest, and only other item to top the $1500 mark was an autographed George Strait Cowboy Hat with a final Bid of $3060. A quick scan through the final bids looks like more than $15,000 was raise for City Of Hope. Congratulations to everyone who took part. ... Talk about it, click here!

Why "She's My Girl"? - Tuesday, July 3, 2001 Billy says that the choice of "She's My Girl" as the lead off single from his new album was due in part to pick up the pace. "What we wanted to do was to put out a fast song. We wanted a fast song because we had done so many serious, slow songs. It's a fun summer song." Billy also says the song is already fun on tour. "During the tour I have fun with the audience, the band plays and I turn to the audience and say, 'Who's my girl?' and they all scream, we just have fun with the audience and that's what it's all about, having fun."

Billy to take part in.... - Tuesday, July 3, 2001 ... "Michael Jackson: 30Th Anniversary Celebration, the Solo Years." Billy is scheduled to be part of the "all star tribute" at Madison Square Gardens in New York City, New York on September 7, 2001. (there is also a second tribute on Sept. 10 that doesn't include Billy) The line-up of performers includes Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Billy Gilman, 'N Sync, Britney Spears and others. CBS Television will be filming the event for a 2 hour prime-time special that will been "shown throughout the world." ... Talk about it, click here!
