Santana High Tribute (03-22-01)

As some of you may know, radio station KSON-FM in San Diego used Billy's "One Voice" for a tribute to the recent shootings at Santana High in Santee, California. Courtesy of KSON, you can now hear this tribute. Let's all hope that this is the last time there is ever a need for such a tribute.

There's A Hero (03-17-01)

CMT Canada will have the video on The Screening Room Monday, March 19th at 7:00 PM and 11:30 PM ET.

GAC says they will have Billy's new video for There's A Hero premiering this Thursday, March 15th at 9:30 PM ET on Fast Forward. (repeats Fri 10:30 AM & 6:30 PM, Sat 12:30 AM & 3:30 PM, Sun 8:30 AM & 7:30 PM ET)
No word yet on when CMT will have the video

ACMA Nominations (02-27-01)

The Academy of Country Music announced the final list of nominations for the ACM Awards which will air on CBS May 9th. Billy has received THREE nominations
Top New Male Vocalist
Album of the Year - "One Voice"
Song of the Year - "One Voice"

Third Album (02-27-01)

Billy will be entering the studio soon to begin recording his third album which is tentatively scheduled to be released May 8, 2001.

Billy Helps St. Judes (02-14-01)

As you all probably know by now, on Friday, February 2nd Billy was in St. Louis, MO to take part in WIL92's Radiothon in benefit of St Judes Children's Hospital. The Friday night autograph signing was a MAJOR success that brought out over 1,000 fans, some of whom had started lining up at 9am for the 7pm event. Billy spent two hours signing autographs and helping raise a record amount of money for St. Judes.
Because Billy's appearance drew such a huge crowd to WIL's St Judes Radiothon, Billy's promotion team felt that "There's A Hero" was a "prefect expression of hope" shared by all involved with St. Judes Children's Hospital and the Radiothon. Due to a number of requests, Sony/Epic have rushed customized copies of the song, including some personal stories of St. Judes children and parents, and customized station public service announcements for the charity to radio stations. The reaction from participating radio stations has been so overwhelming that Sony/Epic is creating a special video to "complement" the customized version of "There's A Hero" in an "ongoing effort to help raise thousands of dollars for a charity that makes a difference in thousands of children's lives each year."
Personally, having recently lost an 8 year old relative to leukemia, I couldn't think of a better use of this song. These children, many of whom fight for their lives every day, are truly heros themselves.

ACM SEMI-Final Nominations (02-07-01)

The ACM list of SEMI-Final nominations is looking good for Billy. Please note however that these are NOT the FINAL nominations, they will be announced on February 27th in L.A. and the ACMA's are scheduled for May 9th.
