New Appearances This weeks charts This week's updates to The UNofficial Billy Gilman Fan Web Site This week's new highlights: --------------------------- + CMA Awards + On the CMA Awards this Wednesday, Billy is scheduled to announce the Broadcast Award winners and sing his hit debut song "One Voice" + Special Notice: Indiana + Billy had to cancel his concert in Indiana on Friday night due to Strep Throat. Hopefully Billy is feeling better. + Oklahoma - CMT Canada + CMT Canada will premiere the Oklahoma video on the Screening Room, Monday, October 2, 2000 at 7:00 PM Eastern. + Oklahoma - CD release date + It appears that the release date for the Oklahoma single has been pushed back a week to October 10, 2000 Undelivered Newsletters and Yahoo! e-mail address's --------------------------------------------------- On Wednesday I sent two news items out to the list and within a few hours I had received back a number of "failed to deliver" messages, most of which were for Yahoo! e-mail accounts. After talking with a couple people I've found out that Yahoo! has been having some problems with their e-mail for at least a week. For now this isn't a problem and hopefully won't happen to often, however if it does I may have to remove Yahoo! addresses (IF it becomes a problem). Just remember that if you don't get the Newsletter sent to you, it will be made available on the site shortly after it's sent out. What's Billy doing this week? ----------------------------- As already mentioned, Billy will be in Nashville for the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Oct. 4th) which will be broadcast live on CBS. (check local listings) On Friday (Oct. 6th) Billy will open for John Michael Montgomery at the Foxwood Casino in Connecticut. On Saturday (Oct. 7th) Billy will be in Charlotte, NC to attend the WSOC Racing Reunion. While there he will also sing the national anthem at a NASCAR race. (TBS at 1:05pm eastern, either Sat. or Sun., there's a race each day and I don't know which) New Appearances ------------------- Swampstock 2000, Rayville, Louisiana Some POSSIBLE dates that he'll open for Reba This week's charts -------------------- On the Billboard Country Albums chart Billy falls two spots and lands at #5, his lowest spot yet, although very respectable for his 14th week. Singles sales chart information isn't available this week. On the Canadian Country Albums Soundscan (sales) charts Billy has slipped out of the top ten, ending up at #12.
