I'd held off on this past weekends updates and newsletter hoping to have some good news about yesterday's (Sunday's) YoungStar Awards. Unfortunately, Charlotte Church won for Young Recording Artist. Billy TV This weeks charts New Appearances This week's updates to The UNofficial Billy Gilman Fan Web Site Special notice regarding bounced newsletters This week's new highlights: --------------------------- + Christmas Pageant of Peace + On Monday, December 11, 2000 Billy will take part in the 77th annual Christmas Pageant of Peace, during wich President Clinton will turn on the lights of the National Christmas Tree. + People Magazine + People Magazine's special issue "Hollywood Hosts With The Most" will have a section called "Country Christmases." Billy is one of the artists that will share some of their favorite holiday memories. Here's a portion of what he said "I love Christmas so much that one year my parents took me and my brother Colin to Santa's Village in New Hampshire so we could meet him in August." + CMT Canada's Top 12 + With your help Billy's Oklahoma video made it into CMT Canada's Daily Top 12. According to their website it's up to number 6 today. Keep voting!! http://www.cmtcanada.ca/shows/top12/index.asp + Reviews Wanted + ----------------------------- With Billy about to appear on a number of TV specials, I'd like to remind everyone that they are free to send me reviews of Billy's appearances, CD's, video's, live appearances, or even just a single song if you want. Remember this is your opprotunity to take part in the site. Although I reserve the final decision of it's use and may edit it for content so far there has only been on that I have used so there is a pretty good chance your's will be used. What's Billy doing this week? ----------------------------- Last Wednesday Billy went to England to do some more promotional appearances for his album and to appear on BBC's Children In Need Telethon with Charlotte Church. This week Billy's schedule includes a trip to Dallas to sing "One Voice" during the halftime show of the Dallas Cowboy's football game. Billy TV -------------------- Wednesday - CMT's Yulenanza! (10:30 AM, 3:30 & 9:30 PM ET) Billy will share some Christmas memories and debut his "Warm & Fuzzy" video. This will be repeated numerous times between now and Christmas. Check the appearance page for the complete schedule. For GAC and CMT Canada fans, keep your eyes open, it probably won't be long before the video appears on those channels. Thursday - NFL on FOX. Billy will sing "One Voice" during the halftime show of the Dallas Cowboys' game. Sunday - StarSkate Jam. Taped October 18 in Rhode Island, Billy sings "One Voice." I've seen different times for this so check your local listings. This week's charts -------------------- Another great week for Billy on the charts. For week 21 "One Voice" holds #4 on Billboard's Country Albums Chart and #6 on the Canadian Country Albums Soundscan chart. On Billboard's Top 200 Albums "One Voice" moves up 2 spots to #36. "Classic Christmas" makes some big jumps this week. On Billboard's Country Albums chart it moves up 5 to #8 getting the "Greatest Gainer" label and giving Billy TWO TOP 10 albums. On the Billboard Top 200 it moves up from #124 to #77. On the Canadian Country Albums Soundscan chart it jumps up 10 spots to #15. "Oklahoma" It's been a while since I've been able to mention Billy's second single, but it's great news. "Oklahoma" is #2 on Billboard's Country Singles Sales charts.
