Billy TV This weeks charts New Appearances Vote for Billy's video's Reviews Welcome This week's updates to The UNofficial Billy Gilman Fan Web Site This week's new highlights: --------------------------- + Gold + On Monday, December 4, 2000 Billy's Classic Christmas was certified GOLD signifying shipments of 500,000 albums. + 2001 Tour + Thanks to Billy and his AOL Chat, as well as some other information I was able to get we know a bit more about the plans for Billy's tour next year. - Billy will headline (it'll be his) a tour of younger artists - medium-sized venues, possibly fairs - younger fans will be kept in mind, i.e. weekend shows instead of weeknight - it will be in the spring and summer What's Billy doing this week? ----------------------------- This past weekend Billy was in Washington to take part in the Christmas in Washington special that will be aired next weekend. Tonight (Monday) Billy will take part in the Christmas Pageant of Peace which includes the lighting of the National Christmas Tree by President Clinton. From Washington DC, Billy heads to New York City where he will appear on the Rosie O'Donnell Show. After the Rosie Show Billy returns home to take a much deserved break and spend time with his family until sometime in January. Billy TV For December 11th to 17th -------------------- PBS stations are airing "Charlotte Church: Dream a Dream" at various times this month. Billy isn't mentioned but there is some footage of the two of them in the studio. Check your local listings. Yulenanza CMT.CA - Wednesday, December 13, 2000 - 6:00 PM ET CMT US - Saturday, December 16, 2000 - 10:00 AM ET and 8:00 PM ET CMT.CA - Saturday, December 16, 2000 - 11:30 PM ET Monday - Christmas Pageant of Peace "tentatively scheduled" to air on C-Span, 5:00 PM ET. May also possibly air on HGTV Wednesday - Billy will make his second appearance on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, this is syndicated so check your local listings for time and channel. Wednesday - Billy's Classic Christmas will be rerun on TNN at 8:00 PM ET/PT. If you missed this last week, DON'T miss it this week. Sunday - Christmas in Washington, TNT 8:00 PM ET. Billy will sing on this concert special that is attended by President Clinton and other dignitaries from Washington DC. Canadian's note that this maybe scheduled to air next week on a Canadian station, I'm still waiting confirmation from the station. You will probably also want to start looking for the January 2001 issue of Disney Adventures Magazine, which is suppose to have an article about Billy. This week's charts -------------------- plus 1 times 2 = 2 in 5 (Warm & Fuzzy math or a clue to this weeks charts?) On Billboard's Country Albums Chart this week BOTH "One Voice" and "Classic Christmas" move up one spot to #4 and #5 respectively. This gives Billy TWO albums in the TOP 5!!! It's also worth noting that with "Classic Christmas" getting the "Greatest Gainer" label this week it makes the 4th time in the last 5 weeks that Billy has had the greatest gains. Also of note is that "Classic Christmas" is currently the best selling Christmas album on the Country charts. On Billboard's Top 200 Albums "One Voice" moves up another 5 spots to #43, while "Classic Christmas" moves up 11 to #48. On Billboard's Country Radio Airplay charts "Oklahoma" moves up one to #43 while retaining #2 on the Country Singles Sales Chart. Billboard has also made the Christmas Albums Chart available. They appear to be a week behind so these would actually be last weeks numbers. "Classic Christmas" is listed as having been on the chart for three weeks, week 1 #unknown, week 2 #6 and week 3 #7. On the Canadian Country Albums Soundscan chart "One Voice" gains one to #8, and "Classic Christmas" slips one to #12. Since we're only a couple weeks away from Christmas, other notable CD's on the Billboard Top 200 and Christmas Album Charts are Another Rosie Christmas - Top 200 at #45 and Christmas chart at #5 Dream a Dream - Top 200 at #16 and Christmas chart at #1 All-Star Christmas - Top 200 debuts at 159 and not listed on Christmas chart.
