This means that the site's usual updates and the improvements aren't getting done. However as always the front page is being updated as soon as news comes in. Hopefully by the end of the week things will have settled back down and I will be able to get back to full updates on the site. Contents -------- There's A Hero Video Name of new CD CMT USA TNN/CW Awards Billy TV This weeks charts There's A Hero Video ----------------------------- As I informed you last week GAC premiered Billy's newest video on Fast Forward on Thursday, so be sure to look for the video to show up in their playlist. CMT Canada will premiere the video tonight (March 19th) on The Screening Room, 7:00 & 11:30 ET). What about CMT (USA)? See CMT USA below. Name of new CD ----------------------------- Billy's new album due out May 8th will be called "Dare To Dream" CMT USA ----------------------------- Those of you with CMT are probably wondering when you will get to see Billy's new video. Well, there is a problem. Along with a few other programs, CMT has axed their Delivery Room program which premiered new videos. They have also reduced the number of videos they air each week and are in the process of changing their schedule to reduce the amount of time given to videos in favour of airing more long form programming. (You may have noticed that CMT has aired a couple movies recently) As part of all these changes CMT has said that they will no-longer air videos prior to the songs release to radio, and that they want the record labels to stop making videos for every single that gets released and only make a video once the song is a hit on radio. This could have some major consequences. Although "One Voice" did eventually make it to #20 on the Billboard chart, it was never the huge success that the video was on CMT, GAC and CMT.CA. Billy isn't the only artist that will be seriously effected by this either, so it should be interesting to see how this plays out. So the question is, will CMT air "There's A Hero"? And I don't know that answer to that. Until they do I would suggest that you frequent CMT's web site and request it. TNN/CW Awards ----------------------------- Final round voting for the TNN Awards starts next Monday! I had received a notice that the final nominations where to be announced last Wednesday. They weren't, so I assume it was a clerical error and they meant this Wednesday, as soon as I have the list of nominations I'll have the information up on my site. UPDATE: Then again... They could be announced today. :) I'm trying to get a more official confirmation on this but it looks like Billy is only up for two. The Fast Track Award The Discovery Award If there turn out to be more I'll let you know Billy TV ----------------------------- CMT Canada will repeat Face The Music on March 20th at 10 PM ET This weeks charts ----------------------------- And last weeks too, since I didn't send out a newsletter. Last week on the Billboard Country Albums chart "One Voice" took a bit of a tumble, dropping from 11 to 14, and remained out of the top half of the Top 200 albums. It also tumbled on the Canadian Soundscan chart last week, falling from 12 to 17. This week, on Billboard's Country Albums chart "One Voice" is the Greatest Gainer climbing back up to 12, and reappearing in top half of the Top 200 at 99. On the Canadian Soundcan chart it took a huge leap back up to 11. For the fifth straight week "Oklahoma/Warn & Fuzzy" is number 5 on Billboard's Country Singles Sales chart.
