CAT Country 98.1 St. Jude's Telethon at Emerald Square Mall
by Allie

For my birthday, my mom drove me and a friend to the mall in North Attleboro. I had no idea Billy was going to be there until I walked out of Filenes and saw the Cat Country radio station parked in the enterance with a couple people standing there and listening. I heard them say the words "Billy Gilman" and my heart sank. My mom told me what she REALLY brought me here for and I freaked out!!! I could't belive i was going to see Billy Gilman! So, I shopped until he came on and then I headed over because it was starting to get crowded. I had my camera but I felt so sad and mad! I was standing behind all these tall people and I had NO way of seeing! I heard the DJ stalling saying things like "Billy Gilman will be on stage in about 5 minutes!" but then they delayed by playing the "There's A Hero" video, and I couldn't even see that! Then, after the video, the best thing happened to me! The DJ said "Before we get Billy On here, we wanted to tell you that Billy requested that for this show, all the kids 12 and under come up front!" I was soooo happy, becuase I am a month and 4 days older than him and I got to go up!! I was really close, and I got really good pictures of him! Then, i waved to him and he waved back! I swear, it was the best day of my life! He sang Little Bitty Pretty One, I wanna get to ya, one voice, oklahoma, she's my girl, you dont you wont, she's everything you want, and my time on earth and he belted his heart out and did awesome! Everyone loved him and I love him more that anything in the whole entire world!
