Guest_Billy_Gilman : Hi guys!Thanks for all the get well wishes and I can't wait to get going! DishDiva : Billy, we've heard a lot about your golfing accident. How do you feel now? Guest_Billy_Gilman : I feel fine. Guest_Billy_Gilman : I have recovered slowly but surely. It will take 6-8 weeks to know if it will hold or not. I can't bit into an apple and fight the doctor away! DishDiva : We have lots of audience questions, so let's get started! DishDiva : Darren_blake Asks: The questions ALL Gilman fans want to know: Did you keep the infamous golf ball? Guest_Billy_Gilman : Darren, I didn't keep it. I didn't WANT the golf ball. I don't know where it went. People here in Rhode Isand are painting golf balls red and saying "I've got the Billy Gilman golf ball!" DishDiva : For those who don't know what happened, can you tell us? Guest_Billy_Gilman : I was going for a golf lesson on the very first day. My instructor told me to stand next to the creek and a kid over the creek hit a ball over the creek about ten feet away. Guest_Billy_Gilman : The golf instructor told the kid across the river to hit it and he did-- right into my right front tooth which was knocked out! DishDiva : We hope you feel better soon, Billy! DishDiva : Guest_M Asks: When are you planning to start touring? Will you be performing in the San Francisco area? Guest_Billy_Gilman : M, I know I am going to California. I think I had to reschedule that date because of my mouth. I just got done recording my Christmas album yesterday and that went real well. DishDiva : Kiwi_Sugar Asks: How long has Billy been singing? Guest_Billy_Gilman : I have been singing for almost 9 years! Guest_Billy_Gilman : I was about three years old when I started singing. DishDiva : Courtney_B Asks: When is your birthday? Guest_Billy_Gilman : May 24th. DishDiva : AlmaGirl456 Asks: the song one voice was that a true song? Guest_Billy_Gilman : It was kinda. It was written for me by two of my producers. It was in a way a true story. DishDiva : swirly_chocolate Asks: what do you do on your free days that you are not singing? Guest_Billy_Gilman : swirly, I love to fish, bowl, ski (snow and water), fight with my little brother. I do a lot of little kid stuff. DishDiva : Guest_BILLLLLLLYYYYYYYY_14 Asks: what's your middle name? Guest_Billy_Gilman : My middle name is kinda geeky-- Wendell. DishDiva : hellokitty says: What will you do when your voice changes? Have you thought about that already? Guest_Billy_Gilman : I have thought about it. I take voice lessons and I try to keep my voice in the high range. With proper voice training, my voice will get a manly tone but I will still be able to go up in the high range! DishDiva : Beetle says: have you read the new harry Potter book yet? Guest_Billy_Gilman : No, I haven't yet. They say it is really thick but I have read all three. DishDiva : Guest_akmctracy Asks: Billy what is your high game in bowling and how long have you been bowling Guest_Billy_Gilman : I have been bowling since I was 9. My highest score was a 93. DishDiva : BILLYGILMANFAN Asks: How do you feel when you sing a song like "Oklahoma" Guest_Billy_Gilman : If you talking about emotion, when I sing a song that is emotional like "Oklahoma" which is about a long lost son and father reuniting, when I first heard the song, it hit me hard. Guest_Billy_Gilman : I close my eyes and see the scenery and fit my lifestyle into the situation. DishDiva : NANSDOG Asks: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SONG 2 SING? Guest_Billy_Gilman : nan, my all time favorite is "Little Things." DishDiva : Hope05 says: Where did you get the idea for your video "one voice was heard"? Guest_Billy_Gilman : The Director came up with it in less than 15 minutes. I was beside myself. We were at a restaurant and she said "I have to think about this video" and we were shooting at 5 am and I had never been up at 5am -- excpet when Santa Claus comes! Guest_Billy_Gilman : So we talked about it in the restaurant and in 15 minutes we came up with it. It was that incredible! DishDiva : all4given Asks: Do you get nervous when you sing infront of a crowd of people? Guest_Billy_Gilman : No, because I have been singing since I was 6 and a half. I have overcome my fear. When I was 11, it was the first date of the George Strait Festival with 50,000 people. I had never sung in front of that many people. I sang with just 3500 people. Everyone Guest_Billy_Gilman : said it would be easy. I sang "Asleep at the Wheel." So, the answer is I first had stage fright when I was 11. DishDiva : jbravata Asks: You've accomplished so much in such a short time, including cutting a Christmas CD. What's next for you? Guest_Billy_Gilman : J, well, as I said earlier, I am promoting my album. Up next is many more shows to do and hopefully another album. DishDiva : TammyFan Asks: Billy, I think you did a great job on "Till I Can Make It On My Own"....I am a big Tammy Wynette fan, and she would be proud of the job you did. Guest_Billy_Gilman : Tammyfan, thank you! DishDiva : northerncalifornia Asks: What do you want to be when you grow up? Guest_Billy_Gilman : (laughs) Guest_Billy_Gilman : Hopefully stilll making albums till I die. Still pleasing the crowd with all the music I produce and sing! Guest_Billy_Gilman : hammerhead, it's ridiculous. My nickname is "Bigmouth" and that is my alert to stop singing or talking at a perty or something. I think we will be going into the next single. On my site there is a voting poll which is "What song should be next single, next video." Who is his favorite? Guest_Billy_Gilman : That is the hardest question. I have met Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Leann Rimes. They all are so nice in their special way. Guest_Billy_Gilman : When I was 8 my mom and grandmother took me to a vocal woman named Angela Bacari and she worked with me for a few years. He's hot. He's country. He's 12 years old! Guest_Billy_Gilman : Cookie, every tiem I go to the airport everyone stops me. I still go to the mall like a regular kid. I am like a mall-holic. I love the Disney store. Guest_Billy_Gilman : The people are Pam Tillis, and my parents and Angela Bacari. "One Voice" will be followed by the Christmas album in the fall. DishDiva : SarahSmile20 Asks: Hey Billy, what is your favorite school subject? Guest_Billy_Gilman : English, spelling, reading and math. DishDiva : BaByGrL8272 Asks: what grade are you going to be in? Guest_Billy_Gilman : I am going into 7th Grade. He thinks this business is really cool. He has met all the artists. He is happy for me and he in the spotlight for baseball. Guest_Billy_Gilman : There is no jealousy at all. DishDiva : lXPrincessJessicaXl Asks: how do your friends react to your popularity???? Guest_Billy_Gilman : They think it's cool and they know that this is what I wanted to do. In first grade they would bring in trucks and I would bring in a tape and ask the teacher to play it. When my friends see me on TV, they says "Oh! There's Billy!" DishDiva : Billy our last question is from angelkisses who says: Being away from home, you must miss your family. What items do you take on the road with you for fun? Guest_Billy_Gilman : anglekisses, my DVD player. That keeps me busy and lots of pictures. Guest_Billy_Gilman : On my computer I have a screen saver of me so my brother can see my face when I am away! Guest_Billy_Gilman : I bring my teddy bear. I bring lots of things that remind me of my mom, my dad and my brother.
